C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis) was a British writer, theologian, and professor, best known for The Chronicles of Narnia series, Mere Christianity, and The Screwtape Letters.
Born in 1898 in Belfast, Ireland, Lewis was a brilliant scholar who taught at both Oxford and Cambridge. He was once an atheist but later became one of the most influential Christian apologists of the 20th century. His works often explore themes of faith, morality, and imagination.
The Chronicles of Narnia, though written for children, is rich with allegory and profound wisdom, making it beloved by readers of all ages. His deep friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien played a major role in his spiritual journey, ultimately leading him to Christianity.
Lewis also wrote extensively about grief and love. His book A Grief Observed is a deeply personal reflection on losing his wife, Joy Davidman, whom he married later in life. His ability to weave complex theological and philosophical ideas into engaging stories is what makes his work timeless.
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." ~C.S. Lewis
"Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny."~C.S. Lewis
A Writer’s Prayer
Lord,
Grant me the words to write with truth and beauty.
Let my work bring light, not confusion—
Hope, not despair.
Guard me from pride and fear,
That I may write not for my own glory,
But to serve, to inspire, and to honor You.
Amen
